On Saturday, December 8th, 2018, the Upper St. Clair Volunteer Fire Department loaded up their trucks and, with a carefully choreographed production, escorted Santa all around the township! From Ruthfred to Trotwood Hills, from Brookside Farms to Montclaire, from Deerfield to Rossmoor, sirens could be heard throughout the day as children, some being dragged by their excited parents, ran out to the streets to see the big guy himself. This is a wonderful tradition and the residents of the township really appreciate all that the volunteers at the USC VFD do to make it a successful event each year as was evident from the posts and the messages received.
Mary Garrubba Bates shared some pictures and then sent us a message saying “the USC VFD made a special trip to see our two foster kids! We live on 19 and they made a special visit. We love Santa and the USC VFD”. Melissa DePuy posted pictures of a crew at the corner of Giant Oaks Drive and Greymill Dr and said “we love seeing Santa every year!” And it isn’t just the kids. Mondeep Puri said “I may have been more excited to see Santa than my daughter. Thank you USCVFD!”
Thank you Upper St. Clair Volunteer Fire Department!! Santa Central is manned by Ray Tomnay who fields calls from residents on where Santa is throughout the day! Thank you Ray and thank you to all who helped to make this day a special one.
Remember, you can thank the Upper St. Clair Volunteer Fire Department yourselves for all they do by making a donation to them.
